Important Steps When Purchasing a Home:

• Create at features wish list. Then, clarify which features are most and least important when searching for a home.
• Determine your buying power. As your agent, we can put you in contact with a trusted mortgage loan officer who can get you pre-approved and determine your purchasing power.
• Choose where you would like to live. Narrow your home search by identifying which neighborhoods you would like to live in. Keeping in mind some of the following factors: schools, traffic, area amenities, crime rate, and future developments.
• Which best suits you a pre-existing home or new construction? When selecting a home you may choose to custom build a home this is where you go from “sticks and stone” to “home sweet home” by being able to select the features you want in your home.
• Calculate the costs of home ownership. Take in account property taxes, insurance, utilities, home maintenance, and association fees, if applicable.
• Get your credit in order. Obtain a copy of your credit report to make sure it is accurate and make any correction immediately. A credit report shows your credit history, bad debts (if any), and your payment history.
