The Walk to Defeat ALS™ is The ALS Association’s national signature event to raise money and awareness for ALS. This family-friendly event is fun for all ages.Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Eventually, people with ALS lose the ability to initiate and control muscle movement, which often leads to total paralysis and death within two to five years of diagnosis.  With your help, we can continue the fight against ALS and continue the mission of The ALS Association – to find a cure for and improve the quality of life for those living with ALS. Please join us as we Walk to Defeat ALS™ on August 23rd at Werner Park!
